Natural Characteristics
The red spruce, known as Picea rubens, is the provincial tree of Nova Scotia and grows in American forests from Vermont to North Carolina, along the Appalachians. Our elegant recreation features a narrow conical crown, medium to short light green needles, and reddish-brown branches to achieve a very natural and woodsy appearance.

    This is our first large Christmas tree after using a 3 footer for the past 5 years. Balsam Hill had a wide selection to choose from. It was between the Balsam Fir and Vermont Spruce for us. We're happy with our choice. This tree looks stunning once setup properly - which does include spending some time fluffing out the branches. Once that was done, there were no "holes" where you could see through the tree. I've read it's the most cumbersome task the first time around. I'll know more about that next year. Originally we were going for the 8 foot clear + multicolor. After not seeing them in stock for weeks (our fault purchasing after Thanksgiving), we went with the 10 foot clear + multicolor. I'm glad we did - it's the right size for our living room. Looking forward to using our new Balsam Hill tree for future holiday seasons!

    First time buyers and tree exactly as it was pictured, and we are very happy with the tree. Delivery and unpacking easy. Would buy again, but hope that this tree lasts for many more years.

    Very nice tree. Wish I had seen the gloves for assembly before I finished the job. A good value when considering the price of real trees.

    Beautifully shaped and very realistic tree. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but I'm very happy with this purchase! Balsam Hill has thought of everything! Storage bag for the tree stand, key lock, and the 2 pairs of gloves they give you to protect your hands while setting up the tree. Love it!

    This is the first artificial tree we've had, and we knew it had to be realistic (and not see-through). This tree is full and looks real. The only thing missing is the real tree smell.
